Best Advisers to work for… For the second year running

Fantastic news. Last night at the Professional Adviser Awards, we were named as the No. 1 Best Financial Advisers to Work For out of 12 other shortlisted firms in the UK.

Advisers and industry professionals from over 200 firms across the country attended the prestigious black tie event. The awards are now in their 13th year and seek to reward excellence within the financial advice community and among the broader financial services sector.

David Holmes, Director, was joined by Freddie Winter, Sonal Amlani, Lara Marrs and Ed Lewis-Smith to pick up the award at the Brewery in London.

David said, “We’re absolutely thrilled to have received this award for the second year running and so proud to have been ranked No.1 out of the 12 firms recognised.  It’s really important for us to be continually investing in our working environment and the development of our team, so they can play to their strengths and create the ultimate client experience”.

The decision was made by Best Companies Group following a detailed submission process and employee survey. As part of our entry, one of the things we were asked was:

“If we asked your employees, ‘What three things does your employer do for you that you love?’ what would they say?”

Here are some of the answers that got us noticed:

“The drive to innovate and push boundaries, encouraging and implementing ideas from us all.”

“We’re inclusive, open and transparent, which makes every member of the team feel valued.”

“It’s great that we promote ‘smart working’ and giving back to our communities.”

Why we stood out

Whilst the judges were blown away by our culture and working environment, they were also impressed by some of our progressive people policies.

The average age of our wealth planners is 39. According to a Financial Times study, the industry average is 58. 67% of our executive team are women; another rarity in our industry. It’s this commitment to diversity and inclusion that really sets us apart.

We’re over the moon that our dedication to looking after our people is being recognised.

Most importantly, we believe that it’s our clients who will reap the rewards from working with such a happy and motivated team.
